Luxury in Wisconsin

Okay—I’ll be the first to admit that Wisconsin is not typically on my list of destinations for February, March, or April.

But then this crossed my laptop: The American Club, the Midwest’s only AAA 5-Diamond Hotel, at a discounted $199 for weeknights, plus breakfast in the Wisconsin Room, plus complimentary champagne, plus 20 percent off the amazing Kohler Waters Spa, voted one of the World’s Best Spas by Travel + Leisure Magazine in October.

Book here. For stays until April 30.

New, arty, Miami—for twenty bucks?

It’s true, chica. You can spend the night in caliente luxury in Miami for two ten-dollar bills. The brand-new Hotel Urbano is currently offering $20 nights, with a second night booked at $159.00. The deal is good for January. (That’s just in the nick of time for this Midwestern gal.)

I love that it partners with Art Fusion Galleries to display new exhibits in the hotel. Very arty-pants. Or, rather, arty-bikini-bottoms?

Great rate for new, upscale Boston hotel

The Ames Boston, brand new from the upscale Morgans Hotel Group, is offering a special rate of $124 per night (see specific dates). The suites in this 114-room hotel near historic Beacon Hill have “Romanesque arched windows and original fireplaces.”

That sounds nice, don’t you think?

It’s called the “Gold Coast” for a reason

And that reason is awesomeness. The Diamond Head area of Waikiki beach is half off right now at the boutique hotel Lotus at Diamond Head. Just steps off the beaten path, this hotel is a quiet, lovely retreat in the middle of all that’s shiny and surf-y and sunny in Hawaii. And it starts at $149 a night. That’s a pretty amazing price for gold and diamonds.

Book by January 3.
