Shopping
Whether you're shopping for Native American antiques, upscale clothing, modern home accessories or hand-crafted Southwestern art, you'll find it in Albuquerque. Authentic pottery, weavings, rugs, jewelry and art fill the picturesque adobe shops and galleries of historic Old Town, and Native American artists show their jewelry and other crafts under the portal on the east side of the Plaza. Even better, you'll find that prices here put other Southwestern cities to shame.
In Nob Hill, mid-century signposts glowing with historic neon signs illuminate quirky boutiques where you'll find gifts galore. In this walkable neighborhood of mostly small, locally-owned shops, you'll find trendy clothing, jewelry, home décor, books, music, and plenty of restaurants, all in a retro atmosphere along 80-year-old Route 66, now Central Avenue. Just a few blocks farther east on Central is an antiques district with several malls and shops filled to the brim with vintage treasures.
