Atlantic City is the Las Vegas of the East Coast and couples come here for a number of reasons: to take part in head-line grabbing concerts, eat at amazing restaurants and stay in beautiful hotels. But that’s not all this region has to offer.
For outdoor enthusiasts, southern New Jersey has it all—hiking, camping and kayaking. Nearby state and national parks offer amazing scenic vistas, miles upon miles of hiking trails and log cabins can be found throughout this region for those who really want to become one with nature. For water enthusiasts, the ocean and bay beckons and kayakers and swimmers will find the Atlantic Ocean refreshing. Atlantic City also offers a variety of day cruises, sailing adventures and fishing expeditions. Visitors will be surprised at the wide variety of game—from striped bass to tuna—found in these parts.
For bikers and runners, the Boardwalk is the perfect way to start the morning; the sand dunes look almost magical against the backdrop of water.
