Activities at the Resort

Since Islamorada is considered a top destination for sport fishing, deep sea fishing excursions are quite popular. Both full and half day excursions are offered in order to troll the Atlantic Ocean for sailfish, Wahoo, marlin, snapper, grouper, tuna and mackerel. Box lunches can be provided for fishing excursions and the resort's culinary team can even prepare the freshly caught fish for dinner.
There are more than 600 species of fish residing in the ocean and the bay and even little kids can get involved by fishing off the 525 foot pier with specially designed yo-yo rods.
There's also an on-site dive center that offers both day and night dives. Visitors can rent gear and take an instructional dive program, too. Tropical fish, living coral and abundant reefs make this a good dive destination. Diving enthusiasts can also discover John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park as well as Shipwreck Trail the well-known diving trail that extends all along the Florida Keys on the Atlantic Coast.
