Hotel & Spa
The 1,200 room luxury hotel at Mohegan Sun offers visitors a one-stop shop for their weekend getaway. The hotel complex also includes shopping venues, gaming outlets on the main floor, a plethora of restaurants and entertainment options. For couples seeking a true romantic getaway, be sure to book one of the hotel's 180 suites.
The 34-story Mohegan Sun hotel exterior and interior reflect the tradition of the Mohegan tribe by combining design elements that reflect the tribe's tradition as well as their affinity with nature. The crystalline tower pays homage to the natural materials the Mohegan tribe used to create arrowheads and ceremonial objects. The glass wall system reflects the landscape while the building's geometric shape and expansive windows offer panoramic views of the Thames River and surrounding New England countryside. The exterior glass reflects the sun as well as the shifting light as the season's change.
Each room has a full-size working desk area with ergonomic chair; a deluxe king or queen beds, relaxing lounge chairs and marble bathrooms.
The Elemis Spa, which is located on the third floor of the hotel, is 23,000 square feet of quiet space. There are separate relaxation areas for men and women with a large Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room in each facility. The thirteen treatment rooms are named for the 13 moons that mark the Mohegan tribe's seasonal changes. The extensive menu includes a variety of facials, massages and body treatments.
The full-service Fair Tree Hair and Nail Salon has an eight-foot maples tree as its centerpiece playing homage to the Mohegan tribe's tradition of celebrating social and spiritual occasions by dancing around the "Fair Tree."
