Kids will love a visit to the country’s largest insect museum, located in the heart of New Orleans. The Audubon Insectarium is creatively designed for children: the display cases and signage are low to the ground (perfect for little kids to peer inside the cages and read about their favorite creepy crawlers). A must is the six-minute movie (yes, even short-attention-span children will love this) featuring a variety of insect caricatures and special affects. The final stop is the Japanese butterfly garden which boasts the most colorful varieties of these winged beauties.
