Gear
The amount of gear you bring on a destination depends on the age and number of children traveling with you. Smaller kids, unfortunately, require quite a bit of gear including strollers, car seats, diaper gear and more frequent changing clothes. Older kids can get away with less gear, but make sure to bring a long some extra books, games, puzzles and other ways to occupy them on the trip.
Hotels
There are a variety of family-friendly hotels across the country. Many offer special deals when traveling with kids, including setting up extra cots and cribs in rooms. Often, many hotels let children stay for free and some hotels even let kids eat for free.
Advance planning is the key to pulling off a successful family vacation.
