Mid-Atlantic Adventure

Pennsylvania boasts over 83,000 miles of rivers and streams and 17 million acres of forest, providing adrenaline junkies with a cornucopia of opportunity. Outdoors enthusiasts can take advantage of Pennsylvania’s whitewater rafting, skydiving, rock climbing and more.

For those who dare, McKean County offers sky diving at the Freefall OZ Skydiving Center located at Ceres Airport. The sky diving center is one of the many attractions found in Oz’s Homestay, a private 122-acre retreat in northern Pennsylvania also featuring fishing and canoeing.

Hyner View State Park is a favorite spot for hang gliding enthusiasts. Visitors “hang out” near the overlook wall, which provides an astonishing view over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and part of the 276,764-acre surrounding Sproul State Forest.

The "High Rocks" at Ralph Stover State Park are best known for spectacular views and geological features, and are used extensively by rock climbers. The 200-foot sheer rock face of this cliff offers a unique challenge to the experienced climber.

Whitewater rafters can get a picturesque view of the Lehigh River Gorge while taking on class two and three rapids.
