Why? The Windy City has long since been known as the epicenter of this nation’s architecture, including becoming famous for the country’s first skyscrapers. The second city is famous for its variety of styles including post-modern, art deco, Renaissance Revival and Romanesque designs. You and your hubby will have a great time walking this beautiful, lake-front town. Make sure to stop by Chicago’s Architecture Center (architecture.org); you can get a map of the city’s top architectural sights as well as get the inside scoop on the history of the designs.
