St. Lucia is blessed with diverse natural attractions, including one of the world’s few drive-in volcanoes and sulfur springs, a tropical rainforest, many natural waterfalls and the dramatic Piton Mountains, which soar 2,000 feet above the sea and have become a signature for the island.
The island is situated between Martinique and St. Vincent and to the northwest of Barbados. It is halfway down the chain of the eastern Caribbean archipelago. The Atlantic Ocean rims St. Lucia’s eastern shore, while the Caribbean Sea lines the west coast, which offers the calmest surf and finest beaches.
